Simvastatin ameliorates proteinuria after SCI in rats. Urine/plasma protein ratio in sham, vehicle and simvastatin groups was determined
as described in Methods. The ratio was significantly reduced in the simvastatin group
(0.84 ± 0.16 compared to vehicle group (3.89 ± 0.45) on 14th day after SCI. Sham group did not show any change in the ratio. Results are expressed
as ratio of urine/plasma proteins and data are expressed as mean ± SD, (n = 6).
